Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her role as Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she's responsible covering everything from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the growth and advent in space travel. Being the daughter of two NASA astronauts, Kristin was raised in the industry of space. She was a part of the space industry for five years, covering the Trump and Biden Space policies of the administration as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. During that time, she also covered two impeachment trials for the president and the presdiential 2020 campaign, and two attempts by the administration to stop the spread of coronavirus. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan in a trip that was highly restricted. Before joining the network in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing through local TV news markets in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin used her experience in the field to create Field Mouse Films. The firm specialized in making documentary films and was a favorite of corporate clients like Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. She is currently living in Washington, D.C., along with her family members, including their 3-year-old daughter.
